Stop-Motion Post-it Notes – “Deadline”
From creator Bang-yao Liu:
This is my senior project at Savannah College of Art and Design. Where my idea comes from is that every time when I am busy, I feel that I am not fighting with my works, I am fighting with those post-it notes and deadline. I manipulating the post-it notes to do pixel-like stop motion and there are some interactions between real actor and post-its.
Bang-yao Liu also provides a video on the making of Stop-Motion “Deadline”.

Very effective TV ad – entertaining and informative
I ran across this wonderful TV ad over at The Daily Dish, and had to share it with you. What a perfect way to visually demonstrate just how the different balance settings affect the overall sound. Plus love the editing/directing of the conductor. Take a look:

Cheech and Chong ????
File this in the “coming-back-to-haunt-you” file. As a kid, I never understood “Cheech and Chong”. Jeff, my obnoxious older brother loved them; thought they were crudely hilarious. (maybe that’s another reason why I didn’t care for the duo!). Forward to the present – today’s Trib has an article about this comedy team – that they are “lighting up stages again”. If you can believe it, Cheech is now 62 and Chong is 72! Facts like that give me one of those “f*ck I’m getting old” moments.
So, while I wallow in my self-pity, if you’re interested, you can the article here, written by Benjamin Ortiz..
